About The President

Aurea Crotty has been passionate about communication for as long as she can remember, her desire to explore the depth of this passion led her to an honours double major in communication and sociology where she focused her studies on the media and corporate communication. From there, Aurea went on to have a very successful career in advertising working with fortune 500 companies to develop and execute key strategic communication plans.

Throughout her career Aurea felt the need to delve deeper into, and get more personal with, her passion: “I always knew I wanted to have my own company. I wanted to do something that would allow me to fulfill my passion, share my knowledge, and help people”. Aurea turned her attention to the psychology of communication and understanding image as an integral part of human psyche. Coutura Consulting was born.

Aurea Crotty is a graduate of the George Brown College image management training program and the revered International Image Institute. She believes that image is one of our most powerful forms of non-verbal communication acting as a billboard to the world around us, communicating a message about the type of person we are. She further views appearance as a key healing modality which affects how we feel about ourselves, and in turn, affects what we project outward.

“My mission is to inspire and motivate people to become more confident –to help guide them in their life journey. My objective with all my clients is to create an open and engaging learning environment, which instills thought, love, and passion”.

Aurea believes very strongly in giving back, she volunteers for many charitable organizations and is constantly seeking ways to help her community grow and share her success.
